Bulk document intake
Add many documents for one person at once, by uploading several files together or by selecting several files from a connected drive or NAS.
Overview
When you're setting up Personal360 you may have a whole folder of scans for one family member. Bulk add documents creates one document per file in a single step. You can upload files from your device, or link files that already live in your connected cloud drive or NAS without copying them.
Before you start
- Bulk intake lives on each person's page, so add the person first.
- You need permission to edit documents: Owner or Adult, or Limited on your own record. Link from NAS/cloud is shown to Owners and Adults only.
- To link from a drive or NAS, the household's storage must be connected. See Choose where your files live.
Steps
- Open People in the sidebar and choose the person.
- In the Documents card, find the Bulk add documents box.
- Choose a type for this batch, for example
INSURANCE. UseOTHERfor a mixed batch and fix types later. - To upload from your device:
- Use the file picker to select several files.
- Press Upload (it shows how many files you picked).
- A message confirms how many documents were uploaded and how many, if any, failed.
- To link from a drive or NAS:
- Press Link from NAS/cloud. A Select files from window opens.
- Open folders with open, and use the path at the top (starting at Top) to go back.
- Tick files, use Select all for everything in the folder, or Shift-click for a range.
- Press Link to create one document per selected file.
- Each new document's label is its file name without the extension. Press Edit on any of them to rename, set dates or change the type.
Example
Rohan Mehta has eight warranty cards scanned into a NAS folder called Warranties. On his page he sets the type to WARRANTY, presses Link from NAS/cloud, opens the folder, ticks Select all 8 file(s) and presses Link 8 as WARRANTY. Eight documents appear, each named after its file.
FAQs
Are numbers and dates filled in automatically?
Not during bulk intake. Afterwards, press Scan for data on each document to have the AI fill in its empty fields. See Scan a document with AI.
Are linked files copied into Personal360?
No. Linked files stay in your drive or NAS and are streamed when you open them. Uploaded files are encrypted and kept by Personal360.
Is there a faster way for a whole family's files?
Yes. If your storage is connected, the automatic sync can read and file everything under your storage folder for you. See Link files and auto-sync.
Troubleshooting
"No cloud/NAS storage configured for this household"
Your household keeps files in Personal360 storage, so there is nothing to browse. Upload the files instead, or ask the household Owner to connect a drive or NAS on File Storage.
Some files failed to upload
The message lists how many failed. Try those files again on their own; very large or unusual files are the usual cause.
