Master admin access
What a master admin can do, how to grant or revoke master-admin access from Settings, and why the last master admin can never be removed.
Overview
A master admin runs the Personal360 service itself. Unlike household roles, master-admin access is estate-wide: a master admin has owner-level authority in every household, can compare members across households, and sees the admin-only pages. Grant it sparingly.
Before you start
- Only an existing master admin can grant or revoke master-admin access.
- The person must already have a Personal360 account. Ask them to sign up first.
- Every grant and revoke is recorded in the Activity log.
Steps
See who is a master admin
- Open Settings.
- At the top, find the Master administrators panel.
- Current master admins lists each one with their name, email and sign-in method. Your own row is marked (you).
Grant master-admin access
- Under Grant master admin to a user, type in Search users… to narrow the list.
- Choose the person from Select a user….
- Click Grant master admin.
- They appear under Current master admins straight away.
Revoke master-admin access
- Find the person under Current master admins.
- Click Revoke and confirm.

Example
The service is run by two people. Deepa Nair, a master admin, is going on leave, so she grants master-admin access to her colleague Sameer Joshi. When she returns, she revokes it again. Both actions appear in the Activity log under her name.
FAQs
Is a master admin the same as a household Owner?
No. An Owner manages one household. A master admin has owner-level authority in every household, plus the admin pages.
Do master admins get incomplete-setup reminder emails?
No. Master-admin accounts are skipped by the follow-up emails.
Can a master admin hide what they do?
No. Reveals, downloads, exports and changes by a master admin are recorded in the Activity log like anyone else's.
Troubleshooting
The person I want isn't in the list
They haven't created an account yet, or they're already a master admin. Ask them to sign up, then refresh Settings.
"Only a master admin can change this."
Your account is not a master admin. Ask an existing master admin to make the change.
