Manage the Help Center

Write, publish, version and retire Help Center articles at /admin/help, link them to app pages for contextual help, and use analytics to find documentation gaps.

Overview

The Help Center is where people learn how to use Personal360. Master admins manage it from Help Center in the sidebar (under Workspace). Only Published articles appear on the public Help Center, in the in-app Help panel, and in assistant answers to "how do I…" questions.

Before you start

  • You must be a master admin.
  • Published articles are public. Anyone on the internet can read them. Use invented examples only — names like "Asha Rao" or "the Mehta household" — and never real names, ID numbers, emails or account details.

Steps

Find and manage articles

  1. In the sidebar, under Workspace, click Help Center.
  2. On the Articles tab, search by title, or filter by status — All, Published, Drafts or Retired — and by category.
  3. The table shows each article's status, views and helpful votes.
  4. Click New article to start one, or click an article to edit it.
  5. Import starter articles adds any missing starter articles. It never overwrites an article you have edited.
  6. Open public Help Center shows the site as readers see it.

Write and publish an article

  1. Fill in Title, URL slug and Category, and set Order in category.
  2. Write a Summary of up to 300 characters. It appears in search results.
  3. Add Tags to help search.
  4. Under App pages, list the paths where the in-app Help panel should suggest this article, such as /documents or /people/[id].
  5. Under Related articles, add the slugs of articles to link at the bottom.
  6. Write the body. Switch between Write, Side by side and Preview to check how it looks.
  7. Add a Change note describing what you changed.
  8. Click Save to keep a draft, or Publish (Save & publish for unsaved changes) to make it live.
  9. To take an article down, click Unpublish (back to draft) or Retire (kept for the record but hidden).
Tip:Every save creates a version. Open Version history and click Restore to bring back an earlier version. Every change is also recorded in the Activity log.

Use analytics to improve help

  1. Open the Analytics tab and choose a period: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year.
  2. Check the totals: Article views, Searches, Searches with no results, Helpful, Not helpful and Suggestions.
  3. Review the panels: | Panel | Use it to | |---|---| | Searches that found nothing | Spot documentation gaps to write next | | Most-read articles | Keep your most-used articles accurate | | Top searches | See the words people actually use, for tags and titles | | Article feedback | Find articles marked not helpful | | Proactive page assistant | See, by page and signal, how often help was offered, a guide was opened, the issue was resolved, or help was dismissed or muted | | Article suggestions | Read reader suggestions and mark each Done or Dismiss |

Example

Searches that found nothing shows "aadhaar update address" ten times this month. The master admin writes a new draft titled "Update the address on an ID", sets App pages to /documents, uses an invented example ("Asha Rao moved from Pune to Bengaluru"), previews it Side by side, and clicks Publish.

FAQs

Why doesn't my article appear on /help or in the assistant?

Only Published articles are shown. Drafts and retired articles are hidden everywhere outside this admin page.

Will importing starter articles undo my edits?

No. Import starter articles only adds articles that are missing. Edited articles are left alone.

Can the assistant see household data when answering help questions?

No. Help answers use only published articles, which are public. Record answers stay limited to what each person is allowed to see.

Troubleshooting

The article doesn't show in the in-app Help panel

Check that it's Published and that App pages matches the page path exactly, for example /people/[id] rather than a specific person's address.

I published something by mistake

Click Unpublish straight away, then fix it and use Version history if you need an earlier version.
