Health profile

Record a person's blood group, key metrics, conditions, allergies, emergency contact and health focus areas on their Health Profile.

Updated 16 Oct 2026

Overview

Each person can have one Health Profile. It holds the basics a doctor or family member would need quickly:

  • Identity & blood group — Blood group, Relationship to head, Organ donor.
  • Key metrics — Height (cm), Weight (kg), BMI (auto), Resting HR, BP systolic, BP diastolic.
  • Health details — Chronic conditions, Allergies, Medical history flags, Current medications.
  • Emergency — Primary physician, Emergency contact.
  • Health focus areas — short goals or topics you are tracking, each with a status.

The profile is encrypted at rest and every save is recorded in the activity log.

Important:The profile stores what you enter. It does not interpret your numbers or give medical advice. Consult a doctor about any reading.

Before you start

  • The person must already exist in your household.
  • You need a role that can edit: Owner or Adult for anyone in the household, or Limited for your own profile only. Read-only members see the same page with fields locked.

Steps

  1. Open Health Profiles in the sidebar (under Family). You can also scroll to Household health on the Dashboard.
  2. In the table, find the person and click Add (no profile yet) or Edit. The page title reads "Name — Health Profile".
  3. Choose a Blood group from the list (A+, A-, B+, B-, AB+, AB-, O+, O-).
  4. Optionally fill in Relationship to head (for example spouse, child) and tick Organ donor.
  5. Enter height and weight. BMI (auto) is calculated for you.
  6. Type conditions, allergies and history flags as comma-separated lists, for example penicillin, peanuts.
  7. Add the Primary physician and an Emergency contact (name · phone).
  8. Click Save profile. You'll see "Saved."
  9. Under Health focus areas, type a title, pick ACTIVE, MONITORING or RESOLVED, and click Add. Change the status later from the dropdown, or click remove.
Tip:The date your metrics were last changed is tracked. If height, weight, blood pressure or heart rate haven't changed in over a year, the dashboard marks them as overdue — a gentle nudge to re-measure.

Example

Vikram Mehta opens his own profile, picks O+, enters 175 cm and 72 kg (BMI shows 23.5), lists "dust" under Allergies, and adds "Dr. Example · City Clinic" as Primary physician. He adds a focus area "walk 30 min daily" with status ACTIVE.

FAQs

Is "Current medications" the same as the Medications list?

No. Current medications here is a free-text note. The structured list with dosage and prescriber is added on the person's profile — see Medications.

What values are accepted for metrics?

Numbers within sensible limits, for example height 20–260 cm and resting heart rate 20–250. Values outside the limits are not saved.

Can I delete a focus area?

Yes, click remove next to it. Removed items are hidden, not permanently erased.

Troubleshooting

I see "Invalid blood group."

Pick a value from the list instead of leaving an unexpected value. Leave it as "— select —" if you don't know.
