Delete data

Remove a single record, a whole person, or an entire household. Deletion is permanent — records and files Personal360 stores are removed, not just hidden.

Updated 16 Oct 2026

Overview

Personal360 lets you delete at three levels: one record, one person and everything filed under them, or a whole household. Deletion is real — the records are removed from the database, not just hidden from your view. There is no recycle bin, so export first if you might need anything later.

Before you start

  • One record (a document, medication, bank account and so on): you need a role that can edit — Owner or Adult, or Limited for records filed under their own person.
  • A whole person or a whole household: you must be an Owner of that household.
  • Consider exporting the household first. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Steps

Delete one record

  1. Open the page where the record appears — for example IDs & Documents or a person's profile.
  2. Click Delete on that record's row.
  3. Confirm. The record and any file Personal360 stored for it are removed.

Delete a person

  1. Go to People and open the person's profile.
  2. Click Delete person at the top-right.
  3. Read the warning: it deletes the person and all their records — IDs, documents, bank accounts, medications, reports, lab results and history.
  4. Confirm. You return to People.

Delete a household

  1. Go to People.
  2. Find the household and click Delete household at the top-right of its section.
  3. The confirmation reads: Permanently delete "household name" and EVERYTHING in it? This cannot be undone.
  4. Confirm to remove every person, record, appointment, utility, storage connection and membership in that household.
Important:Deleting a household also removes its Activity log entries and its AI usage records. A single entry noting that you deleted the household is kept on your own account.

What happens to files

  • Files uploaded into Personal360 storage are deleted along with their records.
  • Files that live in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or NAS are not touched. Personal360 only ever reads those, so you delete them yourself in that service if you want them gone.

Example

The Shah household was set up as a test. Rina Shah, its Owner, exports it for safekeeping, then clicks Delete household on People and confirms. The household disappears from the sidebar selector and the people list. Her scanned PDFs in her own Google Drive are still there.

FAQs

Can I undo a delete?

No. There is no undo or trash. Restore from an export by re-adding the records if needed.

Will expiry alerts and the assistant stop using deleted records?

Yes. Alerts and the assistant read live data, so a deleted document gets no more reminders and can't appear in an answer.

Can I delete my whole account?

The app lets Owners delete households and people. To close your sign-in account itself, contact Support from the ? icon.

Troubleshooting

I don't see Delete person or Delete household

Only Owners see these buttons. Check your role next to the household name on People.

"Delete failed"

The record may have already been removed, or your session expired. Refresh the page, sign in again if asked, and retry.
