Connect OneDrive or Dropbox

Connect a personal or work OneDrive, or a Dropbox account, with read-only access so Personal360 reads your documents where they already are.

Updated 16 Oct 2026

Overview

OneDrive and Dropbox connect the same way as Google Drive: you sign in, approve read-only access, and Personal360 reads files in place. It never writes to or deletes from your account and keeps no copy.

Before you start

  • You must be the household Owner.
  • Decide which account to use — the one where the documents live. A single folder such as "Personal360" makes linking quicker.
  • These options are available only when your Personal360 administrator has enabled them. If you don't see the option, or the wizard says "This deployment isn't set up for OneDrive yet" (or Dropbox), your Personal360 administrator hasn't enabled it.

Steps

  1. Open File Storage in the sidebar. Press Reconfigure if storage is already set.
  2. In Choose, select A cloud drive I already use, then OneDrive or Dropbox under Which one?
  3. Press Next: prepare → and read the notes for your provider.
  4. Press Next: connect →, then Connect OneDrive → or Connect Dropbox →.
  5. Sign in and approve read-only access.
  6. You return to File Storage and the test runs: Account connected, Account, List files and Permission level.
  7. When every check passes, press Save and use OneDrive or Save and use Dropbox.
Note:A work or school Microsoft account may show an "admin approval required" screen. That's your organisation's policy, not a fault. Ask your IT team, or use a personal account.

Example

The Mehta household keeps insurance PDFs in a personal OneDrive. Rohan connects it, and the card shows Connected account with his address. His wife then opens IDs & Documents and uses Link cloud/NAS file to attach the car insurance PDF to its record.

FAQs

Can I connect both OneDrive and Dropbox?

No. Each household has one storage location at a time. Choosing a new one replaces the old connection; documents linked from the old one won't open until it's reconnected.

Does Personal360 change anything in my account?

No. Access is read-only by design. The test confirms this under Permission level.

How do I disconnect?

Press Disconnect on the storage card. Saved tokens are deleted and the household goes back to Personal360 storage.

Troubleshooting

"Your provider didn't return a long-lived token"

The provider still holds an earlier approval. Remove Personal360 from the account's connected apps, then connect again.

The test says the saved approval is no longer valid

Access was revoked or the account password changed. Choose the provider again and press Reconnect. See Storage troubleshooting.
