Bank accounts and finances

Record each person's bank accounts with encrypted, masked account and routing or IFSC numbers, and see every account in the household on the Finances page.

Updated 16 Oct 2026

Overview

Bank accounts belong to the person who holds them, so you add them on that person's profile. The Finances page then lists every account across your household in one table:

ColumnWhat it shows
BankThe bank's name
TypeFor example savings or checking
OwnerThe account holder — click to open their profile
AccountThe account number, masked
Routing / IFSCThe routing number or IFSC code, masked
CountryWhere the account is held

Account numbers and routing/IFSC codes are encrypted at rest and shown masked everywhere, so only the last few characters are visible.

Before you start

  • The account holder must exist as a person in your household.
  • You need a role that can edit records to add or delete accounts.

Steps

  1. Open People in the sidebar and click the account holder's name.
  2. Find the Financial section and click + Add bank account.
  3. Fill in Bank (required), then Account type, Account number, Routing / IFSC, Branch and Country as needed.
  4. Click Save. The account appears in the Financial section, masked.
  5. Open Finances in the sidebar to see it alongside the rest of the household.

To remove an account, click Delete next to it in the person's Financial section and confirm.

Tip:Use the Account type field consistently — for example "Savings", "Current", "Checking" — so the Type column is easy to scan.

Example

Asha Rao adds her savings account: Bank "Example Bank", Account type "Savings", the account number (shown afterwards as ending 0042), an IFSC code, and Country "India". Vikram Mehta adds a US checking account with a routing number. Both appear on Finances, each linked to its owner.

FAQs

Can I see the full account number?

Finances and person pages always show masked numbers. Keep the full number only where you need it, and avoid pasting it into notes or other free-text fields.

Does Personal360 connect to my bank?

No. It doesn't link to bank accounts or show balances or transactions. It's a secure record of which accounts exist and their details.

Why is the Finances page empty but I added an account?

Check you're viewing the right household. The page shows accounts for people in the households you're currently scoped to.

Troubleshooting

"Bank accounts are added from a person's profile"

That's the empty state. Click the button to open a person, then use Financial → + Add bank account.

I can't see "+ Add bank account"

Your role is view-only for that household. Ask the household owner to change it.
